1. Planned too optimistically
Simply ordering the robot and commissioning the integrator is not enough to make CNC automation work. The problem: Who or what clamps the vise in a fully automated production process? And who or what releases it again?
2. Thought through to the end
We thought automation through to the end, and the solution is this: The CLAMPBOOSTER extends the robot with a drive for the vise. This enables the robot to perform highly precise clamping operations with manual vises quickly and safely.
3. Too good to be true
The existing production process remains untouched and can continue as usual. The CLAMPBOOSTER enables fully automated 24/7 CNC-production without manual components.

The levels of automation in the metal industry range from simple to complex machine-based solutions for mechanical products. It quickly became clear that a crucial step in the production process was missing—the automation of clamping the workpiece in a manual vise—when our CNC production was to be automated. We offer future-proof visions and new solution approaches for automation in CNC machining, and we were the ones who invented the CLAMPBOOSTER.
Prototype.
We are specialists in CNC manufacturing and know exactly how mechanics and electronics interact and where automation truly makes sense. Our approach is individual and innovative—and it is in-house. The employees of idee-werk built the first prototype directly in our own production. After extensive testing in our prototype workshop, we were able to further develop the system step by step to series readiness. We were the ones who closed the last automation gap with the development of the CLAMPBOOSTER.
Product.
The development of the CLAMPBOOSTER included mechanical design, creating circuit diagrams, PCB design, and implementing sophisticated software. With it, we have brought an innovative automation component to market that optimizes processes without major investment and makes production more efficient. The CLAMPBOOSTER best demonstrates what defines us: a forward-looking world first that is used and valued by national and international customers, vise manufacturers, and integrators.
